Since I was a young child, I have always been a “Gear Head.” My interest in cars comes from my father, who was a licensed Auto Body Repairman and worked in the automotive industry for most of his life. My mother also spent a significant portion of her career in the automotive industry, primarily in a front office role.

From an early age, I began working on my bicycle-not just oiling and adjusting the chain, seat height, and handlebars, but also repainting it. As I grew older, I started working on cars and even helped build a few. One thing we always had to hire out was welding.

Fast forward a few years: while searching for my next project, I came across an old, abandoned trailer near my house. It was owned by the town and was being given away. I brought it home, but it needed extensive frame repairs. At the time, my cousin, who was a mechanic at a trucking company and had some welding knowledge, taught me how to weld using a process called flux core. This trailer project led me to build a shop table, rebuild a couple of motorcycles, and modify other trailers.

Eventually, my employer found out I had some welding skills, although limited at first. Over time, those skills improved, and whenever something needed welding at work, I was the one to do it. What started as a hobby eventually became my job- and then my business! I have since mastered Stick, MIG, TIG, and flux core welding with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
